I'd like to tell you about one more illustration for the cover of Kenneth Grahame's amazing book "The Wind in the Willows". It was necessary to portray four friends at the picnic. Each of characters has their own unique personality, but the strongest side of this book is an expressive description of the nature of England.

I often start working in color with the environment.

Leaving the characters for dessert, I began to draw objects.

And now the most interesting time has come - cute animals have come to life! Done!
